Austin-based recording artist Steve Bernal will debut his upcoming CD release Decibels in a series of local performances beginning with a special in-store preview at Waterloo Records & Video on February 18.
A ‘cellist, bassist and composer whose work could be described as neoclassical or avant-garde, Mr. Bernal has played on 54 albums, toured with contemporary music artists including Alejandro Escovedo, and collaborated with eclectic pop artists such as Bill Callahan and Graham Reynolds.

Slumdog Millionaire was four for four at the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this week. The film’s soundtrack, composed by A.R. Rahman and M.I.A.’s first N.E.E.T./Interscope Records release, won Best Original Score For A Motion Picture.
