Rhapsody Introduces ‘Free Song Of The Day’ Program
This week at the Consumer Electronics Show 2009, Rhapsody(R), the leading digital music service from RealNetworks(R), Inc. (Nasdaq: RNWK) and MTV Networks, announced three key partnerships with VIZIO(R), Cisco and Yahoo! to deliver instant access to Rhapsody streaming music in the home, and a new program offering consumers a free song each day from www.rhapsody.com/mp3.

New at CES, Rhapsody and VIZIO announced plans to deliver Rhapsody’s award-winning digital music service on VIZIO’s new “Connected HDTV” platform that will be integrated as a key feature into VIZIO televisions available Fall 2009. Rhapsody will deliver on-demand streaming music through VIZIO’s new advanced technology platform that consumers will access with wired and wireless networking built into VIZIO televisions. Linksys by Cisco Wireless Home Audio System

Rhapsody has teamed with Cisco to integrate the Rhapsody service in their new line of wireless home audio products. The products help enable consumers to wirelessly stream music from Rhapsody to any room in the house. Whole-home control will be available with a Dual Band Wireless-N touchscreen remote. Yahoo! Connected TV

Rhapsody will make its on-demand streaming service available to top manufacturers of TVs and other consumer electronics products to allow for the creation of Rhapsody enabled widgets on the Yahoo! Connected TV platform. The Yahoo! Widget Engine will provide consumers access to Rhapsody’s six million song catalog directly from the TV’s user interface.
Free Song Of The Day

Beginning today, Rhapsody will offer a free song every day from chart-topping artists to any customer who visits www.rhapsody.com/mp3. The daily song will be a DRM-free MP3 that customers can download, keep forever and play on any device including the iPod. Rhapsody expects to introduce additional value packaging in the near future.
